Orchestre Visionnaire embodies music-making of exceptional artistry and ambition.

Founded by conductor Dionysis Grammenos, the orchestra will make its debut, by special invitation, at the Royal Concertgebouw in 2026, uniting some of the finest musicians from across Europe.

  • Orchestre Visionnaire aims to approach music with the same care and attention of a fine art restorer through precision, refinement of sonority and a visionary approach to sound. Each concert will be distinctive, taking the audience on a journey into the vibrant sounds of now, while honouring the music of the past.

The outstanding Uzbek-German composer Aziza Sadikova, commissioned specially by the Concertgebouw, will write a new piece for the orchestra to premiere, coupled with Chopin’s dreamlike Concerto No. 2 featuring star pianist Anna Fedorova and Mendelssohn’s evocative Symphony No. 3, “Scottish”.

Founder‑conductor Dionysis Grammenos has built an acclaimed legacy with the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra, which has grown under his decade of leadership into an ensemble of international standing. Outstanding GYSO players and alumni will be hand-picked by Dionysis and invited to join Orchestre Visionnaire as it performs in some of the world’s finest concert halls.
